Credit Card Reward Calculator

Ever feel overwhelmed by the endless array of credit cards, each promising the best reward? You’re not alone. Choosing the right credit card can be a daunting task, especially with so many factors to consider.

But fret no more! Introducing a revolutionary credit card reward calculator. This credit card reward calculator is an outcome of my efforts over the last 6 months. Hopefully, it will be a one-stop shop for all your credit card comparison needs.

Credit Card Reward Calculator

What makes this calculator different?

  • Compares over 40 popular credit cards: The calculator analyses a vast selection of cards. As of now 40+ credit cards are compared. I am in the process of adding more credit cards to the reward calculator. Meanwhile, do tell me which credit cards you would like to see in the calculator on a priority basis.
  • Rewards calculated based on your spending pattern: I am a firm believer that no one credit card is the best credit card for everyone. Depending on the spending pattern of an individual the best credit card also changes. Thus, the credit card reward calculator goes beyond simple comparisons. This calculator considers your spending habits across 20 categories, including Amazon gift vouchers, groceries, travel, fuel, and more.
  • Unveils the true reward rate: The algorithm factors in reward points earned on regular spends, quarterly, monthly and annual milestones if any, cashback and milestone vouchers. The credit card reward calculator factors in the annual fees too, thus, giving you a clear picture of the actual rewards rate.
  • Finds your top 5 matches: Based on your spending data, the calculator identifies the 5 credit cards with the highest potential return on your spending.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Input your spending: Enter your average monthly spending in each of the provided categories. I have listed 20 categories. You may enter “0” against a category where you don’t spend.
  2. Auto/Manual mode: The credit card reward calculator is set to “Auto” mode. I.e. It returns the best 5 credit cards based on reward rate after annual fees. However, you can change the mode to “Manual” and select the credit cards that you want to compare.
  3. Let the calculator work its magic: Sit back and relax! The calculator will analyze your data and compare it to the available credit cards.
  4. Discover your top choices: The output will showcase the 5 credit cards with the highest potential rewards based on your spending habits.

In your calculator somehow you are not accounting milestone benefits and annual benefits for axis vistara cards.

      Hey Sagar
The calculator is an embedded excel sheet that loads along with the article. It may at time take longer to load.

First of all thank you so much for providing this fantastic tool to calculate the rewards to find out which card suits you the best. But just as I was going though this calculator I found that apart from the fact that this calculator was not considering the value to milestone tickets for Axis’s vistara cards its also not considering the quarterly milestone rewards for HDFC Diners Club Black Metal cards. May be you can add option to put column for annual/quarterly/one off lumpy spends so that these benefits get captured in case someone wants. another thing is the value of rewards points may be you can add a option to change its value if one wants to change as value depends purely on how you are going to redeem it.
again all these points are mentioned as an scope for further improvement in a already fantastic tool. Thanks

      Hey Sandeep.
Thanks once again for the inputs.
Diners metal qtrly 10k rewards pts are taken into account. maybe a linking error from my side and not shown in the qtrly bonus column.
Input for value of reward pt is a great idea. will work to incorporate it.

Just a small suggestion, using gyftr or SB for infinia you can get 16.5% RPs and 10% for DCB. Maybe you can incorporate that as well for accelerated rewards

Any chance you can show all 40 credit cards so that it becomes easier to compare for each category? I did not know that HDFC Swiggy was the better card for online food ordering and online grocery purchases. Also, I have Citi Cashback and Premier Miles cards as well. How do I track their effectiveness?
